 Conference Objectives 

The Second Annual International Multisensory Research Conference will be held in Tarrytown, New York on October 6th and 7th. The aim of this meeting is to bring together researchers from a variety of disciplines, who are interested in issues related to multisensory integration. The conference offers an opportunity for scientists from different disciplines to come together in a specialized forum to discuss matters pertaining to crossmodal interactions between different sensory systems.

The 1st annual meeting, held at Somerville College, Oxford University in October of 1999 was a great success. The 1999 program and 1999 abstracts are available at the IMRF web site.
 

 Speakers  

Keynote Addresses will be given on Friday by Dr. Dominic Massaro and on Saturday by Dr. Barry Stein.

Speakers and Session Chairs include: Tom Anastasio, Gemma Calvert, Bea de Gelder, John Flowers, Peter Grossenbacher, Hidetoshi Ishibashi, John Jeka, Andrew King, David Lewkowicz, Bob Lickliter, Angelo Maravita, Alex Meredith, Doug Munoz, Sarah Pallas, Josef Rauschecker, Liz Romanski, Krish Sathian, Christian Scheier, Gregor Schoner, Charles Spence, Arlene Walker-Andrews and Mark Wallace.  Conference Location

The conference will be at the Tarrytown Hilton in New York State. Tarrytown is a 30 minute train ride north of midtown Manhattan, along the banks of the Hudson river. Join researchers from around the world for the presentation of the latest findings in Multisensory processing while enjoying the exceptional culture and cuisine of New York City.
 

 Proceedings Publication 

A selection of the most original papers presented at the conference will be invited to submit to a special issue of the journal Cognitive Brain Research, which will report on the proceedings of this year's meeting.
